DAY 01 MAY 11 DEPART MANILA
DAY 02 MAY 12 ARRIVE CHRISTCHURCH
Welcome to the vibrant city of Christchurch! We meet our driver then proceed for a visit to the Botanic Gardens which was founded on 1863 when an English Oak was planted to commemorate the solemnization of the marriage of Prince Albert and Princess Alexandra of Denmark. Then we check-in our hotel for overnight.
DAY 03 MAY 13 CHRISTCHURCH - LAKE TEKAPO - MT COOK REGION
Departing Christchurch, a lush patchwork of flat, green farmlands surrounds you as you traverse some of the most impressive, braided rivers in the world. Continue into the Mackenzie country to arrive at Lake Tekapo. Make a brief stop at Farmer’s Corner to enjoy a wholesale shopping experience selling all kind New Zealand made products. See the turquoise colour of Lake Tekapo, visit the famous Church of the Good Shepherd and the Bronze Sheepdog Statue. Traverse the brilliant blue Ohau Canal and hug the shores of magnificent Lake Pukaki as you travel up the spectacular valley to a rugged land of ice and rock, home to New Zealand’s highest mountain, Aoraki Mount Cook. To end the day, we take a scenic helicopter ride and land on top of the mountains to experience snow (weather-permitting).
DAY 04 MAY 14 MT COOK - WANAKA - CROMWELL - QUEENSTOWN
Our journey continues to Wanaka. Spend some time in Puzzling World with a mix of bizarre buildings, rooms of illusion and the world-famous Great Maze, this attraction is designed to challenge minds of all ages with its themes of wonder and trickery. After lunch, we drive to Cromwell and see Mrs Jones Fruit Stall - one of the best-known fruit stalls in Central Otago, with people coming from all over New Zealand and the world to visit. The fruit stall stocks a huge array of fresh fruits, dried fruits, nuts, honey products and vegetables. Then we head on to Queenstown where we will spend the next 3 nights.
DAY 05 MAY 15 QUEENSTOWN
An action pack day awaits as we ride a 4WD and go through the forest. Drive through rivers and roll over huge rocks and see
the filming locations of Lord of the Rings. Another thrilling experience awaits as we get on the Shotover Jet. Take a unique breathtaking ride through dramatic and narrow canyons, and hold on tight for Queenstown’s only exhilarating full 360° spins and beyond. In the afternoon, we visit the Gibson Valley Winery – New Zealand’s largest wine cave for a short tour and wine-tasting to end the day.
DAY 06 MAY 16 QUEENSTOWN FREE DAY
This day will be free for you to explore the city. Try bungee jumping, skydiving, take the Milford Sound, walk around the lake or go shopping. The whole day is free! Lunch and dinner will be on your own.
DAY 07 MAY 17 QUEENSTWON / AUCKLAND - ROTORUA
Today, we take a domestic flight to Auckland and drive to Rotorua, the heartland of Maori culture and the best place to experience traditional customs of New Zealand’s indigenous people.
DAY 08 MAY 18 ROTORUA - HOBBITON - ROTORUA
After breakfast, we drive to Matamata and enter Hobbiton, the actual shooting set of Lord of the Rings. Experience middle-earth and learn how movie magic was made here. Our last stop will be at Wakarewarewa Thermal Reserve. See hot pools, geysers, carving and a weaving school plus a cultural Maori performance from the locals. Enjoy Hangi Dinner, a mouthwatering banquet of authentic Maori cuisine.
DAY 09 MAY 19 ROTORUA - AUCKLAND
More adventure awaits as we go to the heart of Waitomo which is famous for their vast cave systems and limestones. Hop on a short boat ride inside one of the caves and see how glowworms illuminate the place. After lunch, we proceed to our last city, Auckland. Here, we enter the iconic Sky Tower. Take an elevator ride 328 meters high above street level and enjoy views over the city and across to ancient volcanoes, sparkling harbours and beyond. The rest of the day will be free for you to enjoy the city and do last-minute shopping. Dinner will be on your own today.
